MPTF’s Channel 22 on NBC Nightly News


NBC’s Joe Fryer sat down with former film and TV professionals who can’t shake their love of the industry. They run MPTF’s Channel 22, a closed-circuit station at the Wasserman Campus. “We’re thriving here because we’re still doing it,” Hans Beimler said.

People Magazine Features MPTF’s Daily Call Sheet 

The former film lab technician from Los Angeles recently joined the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s Daily Call Sheet program, which set her up with a fellow film industry member who shares phone conversations with her a few times a week — something she very much looks forward to.

MPTF provides programs and services for every aspect of your life and well-being.

Did You Know?

MPTF does good all across Southern California. From elder care to social work, community outreach, financial support, child care and beyond, we play a major role in the lives of entertainment industry members in ways that might surprise you.

COMMUNITY IMPACT
Elder Connection clients come for help/referrals in one of three states; stable, at-risk or in crisis.

In 2016, 621 veterans/spouses were screened for current or ongoing VA benefits. Over $200,000 in benefits were received or secured.

COMMUNITY & SOCIAL SERVICES
MPTF served 4,175 people in 2016 through our programs and services.

In 2015 MPTF had 399 volunteers giving a total of 49,961 hours of service.

RESIDENTIAL CARE
31 residents at MPTF are age 95 and older.

Resident pets on campus include 10 cats, 14 dogs and 1 parrot.
