Combined Financial Statements
MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund), a California nonprofit public benefit corporation founded in 1921, is an integrated health and human service organization providing inpatient and outpatient medical care, retirement community accommodations, temporary financial assistance, social services, child care, and various wellness and education programs to eligible members and retirees of the entertainment industry and their families within Southern California. In the more than 90 years since its founding, MPTF has developed services targeted at working and retired members of the entertainment community as well as their parents and children. The organization’s operations include six outpatient health centers, a hospital-based skilled nursing unit that includes dementia care, a retirement community providing independent and assisted living, and a palliative care unit serving residents and the community. In late 2013, MPTF plans to open a new geriatric psychiatry unit in affiliation with UCLA Health System.MPTF also provides financial charitable assistance for eligible industry members requiring help with the exigencies of daily living – rent/mortgage payments, health insurance support, and car payments to name only a few. MPTF provides numerous services that foster health and independence to its senior community: caregiver and palliative care support, assessments of home safety and driving ability, home repairs and modifications, and the connection to numerous community-based resources and services. Available below are the Combined Financial Statements of the MPTF and Affiliated Entities. These financial statements provide the most meaningful financial information on the entire MPTF organization. They are presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and combine all parts of the organization in a single statement.
